Judith Anne Jansson, age 64, of Allen, Texas, formerly of Kennett, Missouri, passed away on August 4, 2017. She was born November 7, 1952, in Duncan, Oklahoma to M.M. and Ima Jeanne Evelyn (Cates) Hightower. On December 28, 1973, Judy married Karl Jansson in Duncan, Oklahoma. Judy was a loving wife and mother. She loved her Savior Jesus Christ and she loved her family. She was a children’s Sunday School teacher for over forty years. She was retired from Kennett Public Schools, as a fourth grade teacher aid, at South School. She was known by children and staff as Miss Sparkle. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Kennett, Missouri.
She is survived by her husband, Karl Jansson of Allen, Texas; children, Julie Jansson of Allen, Texas, Kyle Jansson and wife Cheryl of Frisco, Texas, KC Jansson of Prosper, Texas; grandchildren, Shayla Jansson of Allen, Texas, Halie Jansson of Frisco, Texas, Shondra Jansson of Allen, Texas, Kendra Jansson of Allen, Texas, Noah Jansson of Frisco, Texas and Nathan Jansson of Frisco, Texas; sisters, Kay Allen of Plano, Texas, Jeannie Woody and husband Steve of Duncan, Oklahoma; brother, Monty Hightower of Lawton, Oklahoma; many other loving relatives and friends.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway N., Allen, Texas 75013. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park.
