Juanita W. Coleman, of Prosper, Texas, passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 68. She was born on January 11, 1958, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Juanita grew up as part of a military family, an experience that helped shape her life and the many memories she carried with her. She had a deep love for her family and found joy in the simple things that made life meaningful. She especially loved spending countless hours potting and re-potting her plants, caring for them, and watching them grow. She also found happiness in watching endless TV shows with her sisters and nephew, cooking, sewing, and dancing. Above all, Juanita cherished simply being around the people she loved. Whether gathered around the kitchen, enjoying a meal, laughing with family, or simply just being in the moment, those everyday moments were some of her greatest joys.
Juanita married Don Wayne Coleman, In Anniston, Alabama. Together, they built a family and shared many years and memories. Now, they have reunited.
Above all, Juanita was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her four children, William Hayes of Houston, Texas, Donnita Sherman of Plano, Texas, Aunjolie Coleman, and Ashley Coleman of Celina, Texas; her twelve grandchildren, Rylee Hayes, Jaylen Coleman, Jazzlyn Coleman, Brandon Hayes, Jayden Daniels, Xzavion Hayes, Jacobe Coleman, Marcus Sherman, Jayla Coleman, Jalese Coleman and Karson Williams; her step-mother, Emma Hayes; twelve siblings, Patricia Dye, Renee Johnson, Donna Hayes, Francis Hayes, Lacretia Hayes(John), Rachel Brown, Herbert Hayes(Nina), Louis Hayes, Aaron Hayes(Shanell); her fur-babies, Diamond and Legend; along with many other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.
Preceding Juanita in death by, Don Wayne Coleman; her parents, Mattie and William Hayes ; her granddaughter, Jordan Hayes; her siblings, Tony Hayes, Gwen Hayes, William Hayes Jr., Shirley Oliver; her nieces, Cherlynn Broadway, Tia Hayes, Jasmine Clardy and Alesia Richardson.
Juanita will be remembered for the immense love she had for her family, her caring and nurturing spirit, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. She found beauty in the simple pleasures of life—Most importantly, being surrounded by family. Her love was felt in the everyday moments, and those memories will remain treasured by all who knew her.
Juanita’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave, the family she nurtured, and the memories she created will continue to be a part of us forever.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home-Frisco Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033, at 12:00 PM.
