Juanita Mae Christine DeLeon of Melissa, Texas passed away December 14, 2021 at the age of 17.  She was born on October 23, 2004 to Mario DeLeon, Jr. and Viva Michelle (Archer) DeLeon in Haltom City, Texas. Juanita Mae was a junior at Melissa High School and she was continuing to pursue her education.  Juanita Mae enjoyed taking photos, movies, and music.  She also enjoyed studying cosmetology and spending time outdoors.  Juanita Mae was passionate about animals, finding the love of life, and most of all, her family.  She will be remembered as a vibrant young woman by all those who knew and loved her.

Juanita Mae is survived by her mother, Viva M. DeLeon of Melissa, Texas; father, Mario DeLeon, Jr. of Melissa, Texas; sisters, Jessica Adair of Mabank, Texas, Ashley DeLeon of Gun Barrell, Texas, Amber Denton of Haltom City, Texas, and Christian Manning of Plano, Texas; brothers, Sergio DeLeon, Jermiah Denton, and Daniel DeLeon, all of Haltom City, Texas; grandparents, Wanda Elles and husband, Joe of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Mario DeLeon, Sr. and wife, Ofelia of Bush, Louisiana; and a host of other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Juanita Herrera and great-grandparents, Maria Guadalupe, Adelo Rojas, Juanita Sanchez and Joe Gerald Elles; and uncle, Sergio DeLeon.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The service will also be live streamed at the following link:https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/juanita-mae-christine-deleon. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.  Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service

The family will receive family and friends during a visitation on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
