Juan Villa, Sr.

Juan Villa, Sr. of Garland, Texas passed away on December 25, 2020 at the age of 79. He was born on March 31, 1941 to Daniel Villa, Sr. and Dominga (Medina) Villa in Alice, Texas. Juan graduated from St. Louis, Michigan High School. He married Guadalupe (Lupita) Villa on May 22, 1960 in Alice, Texas. He worked for General Motors in Michigan and retired from Vent-A-Hood in Richardson, Texas in 2010. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church since 1972. He was involved in the ministries and served as a Lector. He was one of the founding members for the Guadalupanas and he also worked maintenance for the church until he retired.  He loved fishing, the outdoors, golfing and Choctaw Casino.

Juan is survived by his wife, Guadalupe (Lupita) Villa; sons, Dennis Villa  (Stephanie) and John Villa, Jr. (Elicia); daughter, Carrie Peña (Danny); grandchildren, Daniel Villa, Desiree Stevenson, Irina Villa, Noah Villa, Ashlie Villa, Nichole Villa, Alex Villa, Ruben Villa, Samuel Villa, Robie Wilks, William Brown, Kyle Brown, Diana Peña, Elias Peña and Mariah Peña; great-grandchildren, Cayson Stevenson, Ryland Stevenson and Christian Jent; brother, Manuel Villa, Sr.; and sisters, Minerva Rodriguez and Rita Espinoza and numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Villa, Sr.; mother, Dominga Villa and brothers, Ruben Villa, Sr. and Daniel Villa, Jr.

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.
