Juan “JP” Poliszuk was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 26th. He was born April 30, 1950 in Colonia Fram, Paraguay, South America to the late Basilio and Tecla Poliszuk. He is preceeded in death by his parents and his brother Antonio Poliszuk, close friends Andres Wlasiuk, and Vladimir Jurpik. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Mary, his sisters Irene Wlasiuk, Catalina Chripczuk, Sophia Brych, and Juana Pasiecznik, sister-in-law Lucia Poliszuk, brother-in-laws Pablo Pasiecnik and Avdiy Chripczuk, his niece Kathy Kovalchuk, many other nieces and nephews, and innumerable friends.
JP put God first, then his wife and family, and then fishing. He loved the Lord with his whole heart and wanted all who knew him to know the Lord as their personal savior. He was a selfless man who taught many of his nieces and nephews the joy of fishing, he would make time to take them out on his beloved Ranger boat, take them for ice cream, and loved to tell stories, big fish stories.
He had an infectious joyous spirit, witty sense of humor, and a deep belly laugh that could fill a room with laughter. Everything was funny to him.
He leaves a tremendous void in the lives of all of those who knew and loved him, yet we have the hope and assurance that we will see him again in glory.
