Joye Darlene Amyx

Joye Darlene Amyx, age 75 of Frisco, Texas passed away on June 9, 2007 in Frisco. She was born on February 20, 1932 in Petersburg, Texas to James W. and Maudie (Dempsey) Jones. Joye married William Henry (Bill) Amyx on December 16, 1961 in Clarendon, Texas. She and her husband were co-owners of Suburban Realtors in Amarillo, Texas. Joye is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon McCurdy and husband, Tandy of VanAlstyne, Texas and Janyce Thompson and husband, Jim of Afton, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Amyx and son, Jerry Don Martin. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 11, 2007 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home from 6-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at 2:00 PM at N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount, Amarillo, Texas in the Pioneer Chapel with internment at Llano Cemetery.

My first job in high school was working for Joye and Bill in their office. I will never forget them teaching me exactly how to take a phone message! She was such a joy to so many people. Our prayers are with you all.
