Joyce Beverly Crooker, age 86 of Little Elm, Texas passed away on June 21, 2010 in Plano. She was born on September 3, 1923 in Garden City, Minnesota to Henry and Lillien (Leasman) Palmby. She married Edward Crooker on November 16, 1942 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Joyce worked in Retail Management and was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Mineola and a recent member of Button Memorial United Methodist Church in Little Elm. She is survived by her children, Dennis Crooker and his wife, Gail of Knoxville, Tennessee, Teri Thomsen and her husband, Jim of Folsom, California, Cher MacKenzie and her husband, Mark of North Richland Hills, Texas, Bev Gulliksen and her husband, Joe of Little Elm, Texas; grandchildren, Nicholas James Thomsen, Jamie Nicole Evans, Douglas James Thomsen, Dennis James Thomsen, Kevin MacKenzie, Kim MacKenzie, Michayla Rounds, Carrissa Rounds, Devin Rounds, Dylan Gulliksen; great-grandchildren, Braden Thomsen, Elijah Thomsen, Lucy Thomsen, Luke Evans and her brother, Donald Palmby of Camino, California. Joyce is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Edward Crooker; parents and two sisters, Fern Turk and June Champlin. A Memorial Service will be held at Button Memorial United Methodist Church in Little Elm at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 24, 2010 with Rev. Denise Peckham and Rev. Rick Son officiating.
