Joy B. Cunningham, age 78, of Dallas, Texas passed away April 5, 2005, in Dallas. She was born on April 5, 1927, in Roxton, Texas to M.R. Billings, Sr. and Lula Locke Billings. She married John W. Cunningham, Jr. in 1947. Mrs. Cunningham was active in the Dallas and Texas Restaurant Association for many years. She was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano. She is survived by her husband, John W. Cunningham, Jr. of Dallas; children, John W. Cunningham, III also of Dallas, Phyllis Joan Cunningham-Rives of Lafayette, Louisiana and Jay Paul Cunningham of Forney, Texas; and other numerous family and friends. Her parents preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 8, 2005, at Prestonwood Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Roxton, Texas. The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service from 10:30-11:00 a.m. at the church.
