Joseph Q. Loker, Sr.

Joseph Q. Loker, Sr. of McKinney, Sr., Texas passed away June 16, 2020 at the age of 59.  He was born on May 7, 1961 to John Willis Loker, Sr. and Ruth Louise (Hughes) Loker in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Joseph was a graduate of Bishop Noll High School in Hammond, Indiana, and Purdue Calumet Community College where he majored in history.  Joseph obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Valparaiso Law University in Valparaiso, Indiana. He was a Trust and Wealth Management Attorney and cultivated a 30-year law career becoming an executive director.  Joseph married Andrea Marie Vodilko on April 13, 1996 in Hazel Crest, Illinois.  He was an avid gardener, enjoyed researching genealogy and studying American history.  Joseph was a devout Catholic and devoted member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in McKinney, Texas.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Andrea Loker; son, Joseph Q. Loker, Jr.; daughter, Mary R. Loker, all of McKinney, Texas; brother, John Loker and wife, Merri of Valparaiso, Indiana; sisters, Louise Claussen of Valparaiso, Indiana; Cathy Lindsey and husband, Greg of Valparaiso, Indiana; Susan Broniarzyk and husband, Marty of Oak Forest, Illinois; Julie Ford of Valparaiso, Indiana; Patty Noonan of Western, Michigan; Barbara Loker of North Western, Indiana; and Bridget Loker of Valparaiso, Indiana; and many other loving family members and friends.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Loker; and sister, Mary Loker.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 22, 2020 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 411 Paula Road, McKinney, Texas 75070.  Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.  A “Come and Go” visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.  Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.
