Joseph Chi Wong passed away on December 23, 2022 in McKinney, Texas at the age of 52. He was born in Hong Kong on January 11, 1970.
Joseph graduated from Lake Highlands High School in 1988. He married Cara Annette Shaw on January 3, 2015 in Plano, Texas. Joseph had a passion for grilling and smoking meat- he was the grill master. He was an expert in IT, and he loved technology. Joseph was an entrepreneur by trade and enjoyed working for himself. He also loved using his talents to help non-profit organizations. Joseph was a kind, patient, humble, Christian man who loved the Lord. He adored his wife, Cara and his son, Alexander, and loved his dogs, Lexi, Dolly Pop, and Bunni.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Cara Wong of McKinney, Texas; son, Alexander Wong of Plano, Texas; aunt, Regina Ho of McKinney, Texas; aunt, Alice Richmond and husband, Scott of Dallas, Texas; aunt, Beatrice Wong; aunt, Winnie Wong; cousin, Clara Ng; cousin, Ken Ng; cousin, Cherry Ng; cousin, Elaine Ho; cousin, Bill Richmond; and cousin, Emily Richmond.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Wong.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano, Texas. The family will receive guests for a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
