With deep sadness, we share the passing of Joseph B. Agapito, a devoted husband, a proud veteran, a loving stepfather, and a kind and generous soul. Joe passed away peacefully, surrounded by the family he held so dear.
Born in 1949, Joe served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1968. His time in the service shaped his strong sense of duty and humility, values that he carried throughout his life. After his military service, Joe began a 37-year career with the U.S. Postal Service. Rain or shine, he delivered mail with dedication, care, and a warm smile. It was along his route that he met Diane, the woman who would become his beloved wife and lifelong partner.
Joe was a remarkable father to his stepson Mike. With patience, wisdom, and unconditional love, he became a steady and supportive presence in Mike’s life, never treating him as anything less than his own. To Diane, he was a loving husband, her closest friend, and the center of her world. Their bond was built on love, laughter, and quiet understanding.
Joe was known for his quick wit, gentle spirit, and selfless heart. He found joy in simple things and cared deeply for those around him. He especially loved his little family and shared a special connection with Serena, the family cat who rarely left his side.
Joseph B. Agapito leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and quiet strength. He will be missed more than words can express and remembered always by those who were lucky enough to know him.
