Jose Lorenzo Gomez of McKinney, Texas passed away January 10, 2019, at the age of 58.  He was born April 30, 1960 to Faustino Arce Gomez and Milagros (Hernandez) Gomez in Naga City, Philippines. Jose Lorenzo graduated from the University of Nueva Caceres in the Philippines with a Bachelor in Commerce. Jose married Shirley Cortes on July 28, 1996 in the Philippines. He worked for Far East Bank for several years before moving to the United States. Jose Lorenzo was totally dedicated to his family, they were the center of his life. That is something they will never forget. He will be remembered as the family jokester.

Jose Lorenzo is survived by his wife, Shirley Gomez; children, Justin Gomez, Christian Gomez, Angelica Gomez all of McKinney, Texas; siblings, Lally Molina and husband, Roger of the Philippines, Roberto Gomez and wife, Minnie also of the Philippines, Rosario Gomez of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Maricor Velayo and husband, Ramon of Sherman, Texas; sister-in-law, Ching Ricarte and husband, Mags; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Faustino and Milagros Gomez.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
