Jose Francisco Garcia, a resident of McKinney, Texas, peacefully passed away at his home on February 7, 2024. He was surrounded by the love of his family and the memories of a life well-lived. Jose was born on October 4, 1934 to Pedro Garcia and Maria Armendariz Garcia, in Mexico
On April 24, 1957, Jose exchanged vows in Armadillo De Los Infantes, SLP with his beloved late wife, Maria Blasa, and they started their family in 1958.
Jose's professional life was defined by his passion for ranching, where he served as a diligent ranch hand for many years. His love for horses and the great outdoors was evident to all who knew him, as he found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of horseback riding and tending to the land.
Beyond his work, Jose had a zest for life particularly his love for food and baseball. Yet, amidst his varied interests, his greatest joy came from spending cherished moments with his family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured for generations to come.
Jose was a man of unwavering faith and was devoted to his Catholic beliefs, finding strength in his spiritual convictions throughout his life's journey. Jose embodied the values of hard work, dedication, and love for family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend; his presence will be deeply missed by those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
Jose is survived by his daughter, Arcadia Mireles and husband, Cenaido of Beaumont, Texas; son, Nereo Garcia and wife, Maria C. of Farmersville, Texas; son, Pedro Garcia and wife, Alicia of Porter, Texas; son, Leonardo Garcia and wife, Magdalena of Plano, Texas; daughter, Delfina Guerrero and husband, Valentin of Lucas, Texas; daughter, Demetria Carreno and husband, Jose of McKinney, Texas; son, Alfredo Garcia and wife, Gloria of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Manuela Carreon and husband, Jose of Mesquite, Texas; daughter, Maria Lopez and husband, Miguel of Sabinas Coahuila, Mexico, daughter, Margarita Garcia, also of Sabinas Coahuila, Mexico; 30 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Blasa Garcia and parents.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening, February 14, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. A rosary service will begin at 7:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, February 15, 2024 at St. Michael the Archangel, 411 Paula Road, McKinney, Texas 75069. Following the funeral service, a committal service will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, 75013.
