Jose "Benny" Guadalupe Benavidez

March 21, 1963 - April 7, 2015

Jose Guadalupe Benavidez of McKinney, Texas passed away April 7, 2015 at the age of 52. He was born March 21, 1963 to Eligio Benavidez and Angelica (Galvan) Benavidez in Mexico. In 1991, he married Esperanza Tanguma in McKinney, Texas. He owned and operated a custom upholstery shop. Benny was very athletic. He was a motorcyclist and a cyclist. Benny enjoyed soccer and loved his family dearly. He was of the Catholic faith.

Benny is survived by his wife, Esperanza Benavidez of McKinney, Texas; sons, Luis Benavidez and wife Amber and Nery Guadalupe Benavidez and wife Angelica Montoccio; daughters, Patricia Casarez and husband Mark and Virginia Olvera and husband Vince all of McKinney, Texas; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Eligio Benavidez, Jose Benavidez, and Pedro Benavidez; sisters, Mari Cruz-Benavidez, Maribel Benavidez, and Angelica Benavidez; and parents, Eligio and Angelica Benavidez.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Javier Benavidez.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas with Father Harold Lowe officiating. Interment will be held in Mexico at a later date. The family will receive friends during a visitation Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
