Jon Mac Pruitt, Sr., age 85, of Frisco, Texas passed away on June 9, 2024. He was born on January 2, 1939, to Bessie Jewel (Monroe) and Grady Henry Pruitt in Morton, Texas. On September 2, 1961, Jon married Jennie Anne in Lubbock, Texas.

“Mac” Pruitt was a loving husband, father, and grandfather (Papa Mac), grew up in West Texas and graduated from Texas Tech with a degree in Engineering.  He raised his family and lived in Houston for 45 years working in commercial construction for Spaw Glass and Gamma Construction companies with notable projects such as the Astrodome renovation, Neiman Marcus renovation, and a large number of new construction builds for Outback restaurants.

Jon is survived by his son, Jon Pruitt, Jr. and his wife, Michelle of Frisco, Texas; his three grandchildren, Cody Pruitt and his wife, Judith of Little Elm, Texas, Hannah Strother and her husband, Brian of Little Elm, Texas, Jack Pruitt of Frisco, Texas; his great-grandson, Scottie Mac Strother; his sister-in-law, Nancy Pruitt; nephew, Rod Pruitt and his wife, Kathy; niece, Lea Ann Pruitt; his cousins, Holly Caglar and Tony Burton.

Jon was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Anne Pruitt; his parents, Bessie and Grady Pruitt; his two brothers, Hershel Pruitt and Dale Pruitt.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 8520 E. Main Street, Frisco, Texas 75033, on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held at Valley Spring Cemetery, 12599 State Hwy 71, Llano, Texas 76885, on Sunday, June 30, 2024, beginning at 12:00 PM.
