Johnny Harris of Melissa, Texas passed away on June 15, 2019 at the age of 71.  He was born on March 21, 1948 to John and Sarah (Covington) Harris in Tioga, Texas.  Johnny was a past minister in the Assembly of God faith.  He owned Johnny’s Automotive in McKinney, Texas.  He was a mechanic at Goodyear/McKinney Tire and Appliance Company.

Johnny is survived by his son, Johnny Ray Harris, Jr. and wife, Holly of McKinney, Texas; son, Jeff Harris and wife, Angela of Bennington, Oklahoma; daughter, Lisa Taylor and husband, Scott of Melissa, Texas; son, Michael Shannon Harris and wife, Jessica of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Sarah Nicole Harris and husband, Kyle Baur of Allen, Texas; daughter-in-law, Jenni Alexander of Sherman, Texas; grandchildren, Lora Cryer and husband, Dakota of Princeton, Texas, Brandy Harris of McKinney, Texas, Sabrina Harris of Wylie, Texas, Jeff Harris and wife, Ember, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Katelyn Bayles and husband, Tony of Lakewood, Colorado, Krystal Cordiviola and husband, Adam of Richland Hills, Texas, Matthew Whittaker of Whitewright, Texas, Michael Scott Harris and wife, Alyssa of Nevada, Texas, Michaela Michelle Harris of McKinney, Texas, Haley Ann Harris of McKinney, Texas, and Ava Rose Baur of Allen, Texas; great grandchildren, Cooper James, Jaxen, Axel, Masen, Madex, Olivia, Kyleigh, Hunter Michael, Brinley, Camden Johnny, Michael Scott, Jr., Emma Rose and Mason; sister, Maydell Lillard and husband, Tony of Denton, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Sarah Harris; sisters, Mattie Faye Opitz, Martha Massey, Marie Griggs, and Mary Dotson.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 21, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.  Interment will follow at Melissa Cemetery in Melissa, Texas.  The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
