Johnnie Ruth Koepf

Johnnie Ruth (Patton) Koepf of McKinney, Texas passed away on June 27, 2018 at the age of 80.  She was born on September 28, 1937 to John Ardath and Iva Frances (Weed) Patton in Bruni, Texas. Johnnie grew up and graduated from Freer High School in 1953. She married Jack Koepf on May 1, 1957 in Freer, Texas. They moved to Alice, Texas where she raised her children.  Johnnie moved to Richardson in 1979, where she started working for What-A-Burger.  She opened Johnnie’s Café in 1983 in Little Elm, Texas.  Johnnie moved around the metroplex for several years before settling in McKinney, Texas.  She belonged to the Rock Church of Richardson, Texas.  Johnnie loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She enjoyed cooking and tending to her plants, but especially loved her cats. Johnnie will truly be missed.

She is survived by her sons, Tim Koepf and wife, Carolyn of Rockwall, Texas, Jack Koepf of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Kyle Wayne Koepf of Richardson, Texas, John William Koepf of Alabama, Victoria Lynn Koepf of The Colony, Texas and Alexandria Nicole Koepf of McKinney, Texas; great-granddaughter, Colleen Elaine Koepf of Garland, Texas.

Johnnie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Iva Patton; her husband, Jack Phillips Koepf; her son, Bennie Ray Koepf; and her grandson, Kevin Lee Koepf.

The family would like to give a special thanks to her nurse, Ester for all her loving care.
