John Douglas York of Fairview, Texas passed away on September 9, 2020 at the age of 80. He was born June 8, 1940 to Harold and Violet (Hotchkiss) York. John grew up in Irondequoit, New York where he graduated high school. He graduated with a Bachelor of Art from Geneseo State University. John proudly served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1964. He worked for Eastman Kodak in the marketing field for 35 years until his retirement in 1988. He also worked for Technical Packaging Inc. in Houston, Texas. John was an avid golfer and was a tremendous athlete playing various sports.
He is survived by his wife, Larraine York of Fairview, Texas; children, Jeffrey York and wife, Carmen of Flower Mound, Texas and Julie Frankel and husband, Jon of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Evan York, Kathryn York, Jack Frankel and a host of other loving family and friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry York.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2020 at The York Residence.
