John Tayloe

John Tayloe of McKinney, Texas passed away on July 7, 2021 at the age of 78 from complications of liver cancer.

He was born October 14, 1942 in Goosecreek, Texas.  John grew up in Monte Alto in the Rio Grande Valley and attended Edcouch-Elsa High School where he loved playing sports especially basketball and football. He attended one year at SW Texas State and transferred to University of North Texas where he obtained a Bachelor of Business degree with a minor in English.  He became a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.

He married Pamela Anselmo June 28, 1980 in St. Louis, Missouri.

John received his Real Estate Brokers License and spent nearly 50 years in the Commercial Real Estate and Mortgage Business.  His greatest accomplishment was brokering the financing with his brother for the Lakeway Regional Hospital, an acute care hospital in Lakeway, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Tayloe; sisters-in-law, Mary Kay Tayloe of Honey Grove, Texas and Janet Anselmo Hensen of The Colony, Texas; nieces, Kathy Tayloe Frith and husband, Paul of Walkertown, North Carolina, and Elizabeth Reese and husband, Coby of Honey Grove, Texas; cousin, Lee Tayloe of Mancos, Colorado; great nieces and nephews, Lindsay Ray Thomas, Connor Reese, Carson Reese and Samuel Curry of Honey Grove, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Elizabeth Tayloe; and brother, Sam Tayloe, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Quentin Henson.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, July 16, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
