John Richard Nesbitt, “Dad”, of Leonard, Texas, passed away on October 2nd, 2021, due to complications of COVID pneumonia. John was born at Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas on December 11, 1952, to Joe and Frances Nesbitt.
John was married to Janice Nesbitt of Brownwood, Texas on April 19th, 1971. They had just celebrated 50 years of marriage. He loved life and being with his family and friends. He loved his pit bulls and was a huge animal lover. John was an avid golfer, hunter, motorcycle rider, fisher, woodworker, artist, corn hole player, Cowboys fan, all American man, and a number 1 Trump supporter.
John is preceded in death by his father, mother and his grandson, Grayson Ryder.
John leaves behind his wife, Janice Nesbitt, Daughters Jenifer Ptak, Joni Lawrence and Jamie Nesbitt, Son-in-Laws, Casey Ptak, Ronnie Lawrence and Nathan Rozelle, Grandchildren Jordan Shepard, Kaleb Lawrence, Kaley Ptak, McKenzie Lawrence, and Jayden Ptak.
John’s viewing will be at Hurst’s Fielder-Baker Funeral Home on October 7th, 2021 from 5-7PM. The Funeral will be held at First Baptist Church of Farmersville on Friday, October 8th, 2021, at 11AM. John will be laid to rest at the Blue Ridge Cemetery immediately following the funeral. A celebration of Dad’s life will be held at the Lawrence’s after the burial.
