John Richard Cambis of Telephone, Texas passed away on March 21, 2022 at the age of 73. He was born on June 2, 1948 to Joseph Henry and Doris Ann (Bailey) Cambis in Dallas, Texas. John grew up in Sachse and Garland, Texas where he attended South Garland High School. He owned and operated Cambis CNC for over thirty years. John loved fishing, hunting, motor cross and archery. He also enjoyed the outdoors, farming and most of all spending time with family.
John is survived by his wife, Tina Cambis of Telephone, Texas; daughter, Julie Noe of The Colony, Texas; grandson Joseph Brooks and wife, Laura of Sherman, Texas; great granddaughter, Lucy Brooks; sisters, Joann Higgs and husband, Greg of Orlando, Florida, and Cindy West and husband, Dennis of Dallas, Texas; brother-in-law, Randy Majors and wife, Tricia of Quitman, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 25, 2022 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas, 75013.
