John William “Bill” Lohmann, age 78, of Celina, Texas, formerly of Richardson, Texas, passed away April 5, 2016. He was born July 10, 1937, in Burkburnett, Texas to William Henry and Florence Lucille (Payne) Lohmann. On December 26, 1958, Bill married Judith Elaine Carmichael in Waco, Texas. He grew up in Waco, where he graduated high school in 1956 from Waco High School. Bill is a 1959 graduate of DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago. He worked at Texas Instruments for 35 years on the Electronics Research Team. Bill enjoyed woodworking and in his later years wood carving; he was a master craftsman. He was a member of Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church in Allen, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Lohmann of Celina, Texas; children, J’ Laine Fannon and husband Jack of Sachse, Texas, Brenda Hagler and husband Charles of Tampa, Florida, Mike Lohmann and wife Allison of Celina, Texas; grandchildren, David Fannon and wife Randi of Forney, Texas, Heather Fannon of Sachse, Texas, Ryan Lohmann of Austin ,Texas, Landon Lohmann of Celina, Texas, Cambry Lohmann of Celina Texas and Reid Lohmann also of Celina, Texas; great-grandson, Hunter Fannon; sister Janie Lohmann Rogers of Frisco, Texas; several nieces and nephews; a host of other loving family and friends.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Florence Lucille Lohmann and a sister, Rita Creech.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 8, 2016 at Cottage Hill Cemetery, 11400 FM 2478, Celina, Texas.
