John Edward Riley

Mr. John Edward Riley, age 69, of Blue Ridge, Texas, passed away April 27, 2005, at his home. He was born March 18, 1936, in McKinney, Texas, to Rector Hunter and Maggie Mae (Thomas) Riley. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Riley worked at Dupont Paper Company where he was a trainer and also worked for the Princeton Skating Rink for over twenty years. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Whitewright, Texas, where he was a deacon. He is survived by his sisters, Minnie Riley and Neca Flatt, both of Blue Ridge, Texas; niece, Patricia Young also of Blue Ridge; nephew, James Robert Flatt and his wife, Sheila of Trenton, Texas; and numerous other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 30, 2005, at Wilson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Friday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the VNA Hospice, 2412 W. University, #200, McKinney, TX 75071.
