John Thomas O’Malley, age 54, of Frisco, Texas, passed away on October 19, 2011. He was born June 2, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, to John Burns and Sylvia Rose (Tomaskovic) O’Malley. John was a graduate of the University of Illinois, where he played football for the fighting Illini. He was the President of John Burns Construction- Texas. He was an avid outdoorsman; loved by many; and his favorite thing was spending time with his beloved daughters. He is survived by his daughters, Kelly Rose O’Malley, Kaitlin Marie O’Malley, Kristina Lei O’Malley, and Kourtney Burns O’Malley; brothers, Paul O’Malley and wife Bonnie of Los Angeles, California, William O’Malley and wife Nadine of Hinsdale, Illinois; sisters, Mary Jo Donnell and husband Lynn of Burr Ridge, Illinois, Carol Johanns and husband Chas of Western Springs, Illinois; father, Mr. John Burns O’Malley and wife Irene; mother, Sylvia Rose O’Malley; twenty-one nieces and nephews; and many beloved friends. John is preceded in death by his sister, Jeanie (O’Malley) D’Ambrose. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening, October 21, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway N., Allen, Texas 75013. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas 75023.
