John Newman Kerley, age 85, of Plano, Texas, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018. He was born January 6, 1933, in Collin County, Texas, to Genevieve (Newman) and John W. Kerley. John married Marilyn A. Walker on November 19, 1994, in Plano. He was employed as an economist for the government.
John is survived by his wife, Marilyn Kerley; his children, Diana Estill and her husband, James, of Rockwall, Texas, Alan Kerley of W. Colombia, Texas, Kerry Kerley and his wife, Barbara, of Rosenberg, Texas, and Joel Kerley of W. Colombia, Texas; his grandchildren, Ron (Julie) Flanagan, Ryan Sullivan, Jennifer (Steve) Craig, Josh Kerley, Jamie Zamarripa and Becky Kerley; also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Genevieve and John Kerley, and his sister, Janis Poirier.
Friends and family are invited to a Visitation and Reception held in his honor at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home on Monday, September 24, 2018, from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM, prior to the service. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM, officiated by Chaplain Pam Smith. Interment will follow at Rowlett Cemetery in Plano, Texas.
