John Michael Diaz AKA Butch passed away October 21, 2022 in Fairview, Texas at the age of 41. He was born to Robert L. and Leticia (Valdez) Diaz on July 25, 1981 in McKinney, Texas.
Above anything John was dedicated to his son Jacob. His hobbies included fishing, eating at different eateries, and he loved being at the beach. He enjoyed grilling- he was the BBQ expert. John grew up with a passion for Boxing and boxed at the Barney and Me boxing gym. He also had a passion for cars and tattoos. John was well known wherever he went. He was committed to being the best father, best uncle, best brother, a great loving son, a great cousin, and a great nephew and a great friend that he could be. John had a heart of gold and would help anyone out, whatever the cause was he was there to help. John and Jacob were best friends, they had a strong bond that nothing or anyone could break. Their love will live on forever.
John is survived by his parents, Robert and Leticia Diaz of Fairview, Texas; sister, Vanessa Santacruz and husband, Jose of Conroe, Texas; nephews, Jose and Dallas Santacruz; niece, Amaya Santacruz; brothers, Roberto and Edwardo Diaz, both of McKinney, Texas; and his cousins who were raised as his brothers, Uriel, Hector and Daniel Vega.
He was preceded in death by his loving son, Jacob Diaz.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 28, 2022 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in McKinney, Texas. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
