John Mark Bonnot, age 65, of Coppell, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. He was born on June 16, 1956, in Ganado, Texas, to Shirley (Davis) and Harold Bonnot. He married Penny Diane Grissom in Edna, Texas, on August 9, 1980, and they had two sons, Derric & Kevin. Derric married Meagan McCraney and they have 4 kids, Levi, Ollie, Maeley and Evie. Kevin married Nashaela Guerra and they have 2 kids, River and Eden. He loved his family more than anything. Their lives were forever changed and revolved around Fellowship Church in Dallas, TX, led by Pastor Ed Young, where they’ve been involved since 1999.
John Mark worked for many cities across the state of Texas, from the Edna, Temple, Coppell, and Irving Chamber of Commerce, to the city of Frisco, where he finished his hard working career working in Economic Development. John Mark spear headed deals that brought many company headquarters to Frisco, creating thousands of jobs and hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue for the city. John was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Penny Bonnot; his sons, Derric Bonnot and his wife, Meagan, of Coppell, Texas, and Kevin Bonnot and his wife, Nashaela, of Celina, Texas; his grandchildren, Levi, Ollie, Maeley, Evie, River and Eden Bonnot; and his brother, Brent Bonnot of La Ward, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Shirley Bonnot.
A visitation will be held at Fellowship Church, 2450 N. Highway 121, Grapevine, Texas, on Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 12:15 to 2:15 p.m. The funeral service begins at 2:30 p.m., officiated by Pastor Ed Young. Interment follows at Rolling Oaks Memorial Center in Coppell, Texas.
