John Lawrence Shields, age 80, of Little Elm, Texas passed away on May 13, 2026, in Frisco, Texas. He was born on June 30, 1945, to Helen Theresa Koski and Lawrence John Shields in Yonkers, New York. On May 26, 1968, John married Olga Maria Manrique in St.Ann's Catholic Church in Yonkers, New York. John was a parishioner at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Frisco.
John is survived by his loving wife, Olga Shields; his sons, Lawrence John Shields and his wife, Susan, James Rafael Shields and his wife, Karen; his daughter, Stephanie Ann Shields; his grandchildren, Lauren Shields, John Lawrence Shields, Patrick Shields, Kate Shields, Joshua Shields, and Christopher Shields.
John was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Roberta Armetta.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas 75033, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 8000 Eldorado Parkway, Frisco, Texas 75033, beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park, 7800 Sanctuary Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033.
