John L. Burkhamer passed away November 2, 2023 in Princeton, Texas at the age of 89. He was born to Clifton and Dora (McGuire) Burkhamer on September 18, 1934 in Jenks, Oklahoma.
John graduated from Sapulpa High School in Oklahoma. He married Betty Lear on March 4, 1955. John was a member of the Lion’s Club and enjoyed being a square dance caller. He was a collector of coins and arrowheads. He loved to play all sorts of games with his family. He loved reading books about the “Wild West” and mysteries.
John is survived by his wife, Betty Burkhamer of Princeton, Texas; daughter, Linda Dolby and her husband, Jeff of McKinney, Texas; granddaughter, Tami El Habachi and her husband, Ahmed of McKinney, Texas; and great granddaughter, Cydney Covey of McKinney, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Wilbur and Willard Burkhamer.
