John F. Jordan, age 67, of Garland, Texas, passed away July 11, 2010, in Garland. John was born January 6, 1943, in Dallas, Texas, to J. F. and Ada (Nash) Jordan. He married Judy Edwards on June 25, 1965 in McKinney, Texas. John was a dispatcher for the City of Garland. He was a member of Saturn Road Church of Christ in Garland where he was involved in the cradle roll department. John was a professional Santa for thirty years. He loved to fish, but especially loved his grandkids. He is survived by his wife, Judy G. Jordan of Garland, Texas; son, John D. Jordan and daughter, Jill Brandenburg and husband, Frank, both of Garland; grandson, Timothy Brandenburg; granddaughter, Kyleigh Brandenburg, both of Garland, Texas; sister, Darlene Conner and husband, Tommy of Garland, Texas; and mother, Ada Jordan Alexander and husband, John, also of Garland; and numerous other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 16, 2010, at Saturn Rd. Church of Christ in Garland, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. on Thursday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
