John Jeffrey "Jeff" Jennings

John Jeffrey “Jeff” Jennings of Allen, Texas passed away on May 27, 2019 at the age of 49.  He was born on January 14, 1970 to Gregg Lamont and Karen Roberta (Ketler) Jennings in Amarillo, Texas.  Jeff grew up in Amarillo, Texas and Richardson, Texas where he graduated from Berkner High School in 1988.  He was a maintenance manager in the landscaping industry for over 30 years.  Jeff loved NASCAR, classic cars, car shows and collecting antique license plates. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting rabbits, camping and investigating and managing local wildlife. Jeff loved Mexican food, cooking, entertaining friends and family and hugs (haha). He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns. Jeff was a very spiritual Christian man and he was known as the mayor of Featherbrook court.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Shirley Jennings of Allen, Texas; son, John Jennings and wife, Emily of Camp Pendleton, California; daughter, Christie Miller of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Jacob Hunter, Olivia O’Brien and Owen Miller; mother, Karen McDaniel of Spring, Texas; brother, Damon McDaniel; step-mother, Marilyne Jennings of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brothers, Jason Ringling and wife, Tisha and Todd Ringling and wife, Candy; sisters, Jennifer Dalton and husband, Dale, Jolynn Harrell and husband, James, Rachelle Bates and husband, Buddy; and several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gregg Jennings and his father who raised him, Larry McDaniel.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Allen Heritage Village, 450 E. St. Mary Drive, Allen, Texas 75002. Overflow parking at the senior center across the street. A reception will follow the service at the family home on Featherbrook Court where lunch will be provided.
