John Irvin Beavers, a resident of McKinney, Texas, passed away on March 19, 2024, at the age of 84. He was born on May 29, 1939, in Longview, Texas, to Everrett Beavers and Ruby (Smith) Beavers.
John's journey through life was marked by significant milestones and unwavering dedication. He received his education at Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Texas, and further pursued his academic aspirations at North Texas State University, where he earned his bachelor's degree. John embarked on a successful career path, achieving the role of Vice President of marketing sales for D.A.P., where he left an indelible mark of excellence. Later, he ventured into entrepreneurship, founding his own esteemed company, Beavers and Associates.
Beyond his professional achievements, John's commitment to his country shone brightly as he served proudly in the United States Army, demonstrating bravery and patriotism in service of his fellow citizens.
In matters of the heart, John found his greatest joy in his marriage to Linda Beavers, whom he wed in February of 1961. Their union of 63 years was a testament to enduring love, mutual respect, and unwavering devotion.
John's passions included the great outdoors. He enjoyed the thrill of golfing, the excitement of hunting quail and pheasants in the vast landscapes of West Texas, and the adventure of travel. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, as he was a dedicated member of First United Methodist of McKinney, finding comfort and community in worship.
John will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His warmth, generosity, and zest for life will forever linger in the hearts of those who loved him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Beavers of McKinney, Texas; sons, John E. Beavers and wife, Laura, both of McKinney, Texas and Kirk C. Beavers of Buffalo, New York; grandson, Everett Beavers, also of McKinney, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
