Rev. John A. Howard, age 77, of Plano, Texas, passed away January 21, 2004, in Plano. He was born January 20, 1927, in Montgomery, Alabama, to John A. and Nephis (Goff) Howard, Sr. He married Margaret Davis on August 5, 1972, in McKinney, Texas. Rev. Howard served in the U. S. Army and was a Baptist minister. He is survived by his daughters, Tiffany Howard of Dallas, Texas, Marvo Pugh of DeRidder, Louisiana, and Louise McMarlo; grandchildren, Jared and Jacquelin; brother, Thomas Howard of Vancleave, Misissippi; and sister, Jimmi Armstrong. He was preceded in death by his wife. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 24, 2004, at the First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park in Richardson with Rev. Greg Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
