Mr. John Kenneth Holt, age 72, of Allen, Texas, passed away July 12, 2007 at his home. He was born August 28, 1934, in Allen, Texas, to John D. and Edna E. (Long) Holt. He served his country in the US Army and on February 14, 1959, he married Susie Marie Mahoney in Louisville, KY. Mr. Holt was a quotation manager for Fisher Scientific and Scientific Products. He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Susie; sons, James K. “Kenny” Holt and his wife Kathy Sue of Melissa, John E. “Eddy” Holt and his wife Rhonda of McKinney, Jay A. Holt of Allen, and Jeffrey G. Holt of Allen; daughter, Janet K. Cogar and her husband David of Princeton; eleven grandchildren, Chris, Kenneth, Rusty, Amy, April, Jonathan, Rachel, Sarah, Melissa, Jeffrey and Jason; eight great-grandchildren, Tristen, Regan, Taylor, Madison, Amber, Saun, Aedan, and Mavrick; and sister, Rita Raper and her husband Charles of Plano. Preceding him death were his parents; and his grandson, Matthew. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at 2:00 PM, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Danny Buster officiating. Interment will follow at Allen Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
