John Herbert Whisenhunt, Jr., age 70, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on May 31, 2017 in McKinney, Texas. He was born on November 28, 1946 in Royce City, Texas to John Herbert and Delores Patterson Whisenhunt. He served in the U. S. Army as a medic in the Vietnam war and was of the Christian faith.
John is survived by; sister, Marilyn Gatlin and husband Randy, brother, Riley Roberson and wife Toni, 3 nieces, Amber Whittamore, Audra Gatlin and Jenni Fraiser.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Herbert and Delores Patterson Whisenhunt.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home, 107 N. Washington Street, Farmersville, Texas. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rick Riddle officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
