IN LOVING MEMORY

John H. Bundy, III

Nov 06 1958 - Dec 16 2024

John H. Bundy III, age 66, of Mesquite, Texas passed away on December 16, 2024, in Plano, Texas. He was born on November 6, 1958, in Waco, Texas to John Herold Bundy Jr. and Mattie Mae Crawley.

John was raised in North Dallas and graduated from Richardson High School in 1978 and then attended some college at Lubbock Christian University.  Ultimately, he went to trade school to become a machinist for Hannon Hydraulics in Dallas for over 15 years until he was forced to retire due to his health condition.

John had a passion for music and loved to organize events and parties which always had musicians at the center of it. John was an active member at the Amity Bible Church and played guitar in the church band for many years until his health no longer allowed.   He had many friends that he stayed connected with over the years.   One friend described him as having the gift to keep friends connected or the “analogue version” of Facebook.  He lived life to the fullest with family and friends, but due to organ failure, it was cut short.  He was able to make the decision, pick a date, and he had the luxury to say goodbye to all of his family and most of his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Maresol Bundy of Mesquite, Texas; his children, Samuel John Bundy and Emery of Weatherford, Texas, Jennifer Poursoltani and Adam of Gordonville, Texas, and Kevin Oquias of Mesquite, Texas; his grandchildren, Colter Bundy and Charlotte Poursoltani; his sisters, Catherine Wilkins of Frisco, Texas, Jacqueline Martin and John of Frisco, Texas; his nieces, Dr. Lindsay Keith, Nicole Madison, Emily Stella, and Stacy Eagan; his nephews, Mark Fish, Matt Fish, and Nathan Johnson.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John Bundy Jr. and Mattie Bundy, and his brother, Clay Bundy.
