John Edwin Redmon

John Edwin Redmon of Cleburne, Texas passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the age of 84.  He was born on January 27, 1932 to Agile Hugh and Natalie Mary (Collins) Redmon in Brownwood, Texas.  He married Jacquelyn White on August 31, 1955.  John proudly served his country as a pilot in the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam, retiring after 22 years of service as a Lt. Colonel.  After retiring, he worked to become Administrator of Harris Methodist Hospital in Cleburne, Texas.  John was very active in community service as a 36 year energetic member and past President of the Cleburne Lions Club with 30 years of perfect attendance; and a founding member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church.  He was an active volunteer for Meals on Wheels and has saved many lives with over 20 gallons of blood personally donated.

John is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn Redmon of Cleburne; his son, James A. Redmon and wife, Sandra of Frisco; nephews James J. and John G. Redmon, their wives Sandy and Kristy; niece, Colleen Carroll, their respective families; and numerous other loving friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Dr. Agile Redmon, Jr. and his wife, Dora both of Houston, Texas.

A private funeral mass will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in McKinney, Texas for the immediate family.  Public visitation/reception will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Crosier-Pearson Funeral Home in Cleburne, Texas.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26,2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 807 N. Anglin St., Cleburne, Texas with graveside services including full military honors to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Cleburne.
