With profound sadness, we announce the passing of John Edward Phipps, who bid farewell to this world on February 25, 2024, at the age of 75. A cherished resident of Plano, Texas, John was born to Charles Edward Phipps and Willa Geneva (Dean) Phipps on May 15, 1948, in St. Louis, Missouri.
John, a lifelong learner, pursued advanced education and earned a master's degree from General Motors Institute in 1970, serving as the foundation of an impactful career. On August 7, 1971, he married Christine Dorothea Franke in Cincinnati, Ohio. Together they embarked on a lifelong journey of love and family.
John excelled in sales and marketing, traveling the world over before settling down and directing his passion for business to entrepreneurship. Founding RADX, a pioneering digital marketing agency in the new internet age, John guided the company through continuous evolution across many industries. The most rewarding aspect for John was working with his beloved sons, Charles and Joshua, who both adopted his business acumen and professional ethos in their careers.
John's accomplishments extend beyond business; he left a significant mark as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His genuine care, warmth, and sense of humor profoundly affected all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy will endure through the rich tapestry of memories he leaves behind.
A dedicated member of Christ Church in Plano, John embraced his faith with zeal, contributing to the community and church life with fervor and generosity.

Phipps; son, Charles Edward Phipps; daughters-in-law, Melissa Phipps and Grace Pecson-Phipps; grandchildren, Mina, Logan, Ian, Benji, and Max; brother, James Anthony Phipps and wife Shannon; sisters, Zelda Dean Mattox, and Kathy Von Almen and husband Scott; along with a host of relatives and friends who felt his kindness and influence.
