John E. (Johnnie) Blankenship, age 90, of McKinney, Texas passed away June 7, 2007, in McKinney, Texas. He was born November 8, 1916, in McKinney to John H. and Laura F. (Neal) Blankenship. On September 10, 1938 he married Helen J. Powell in McKinney. Mr. Blankenship was the owner of McKinney Upholstery for over 40 years. He was of the Church of Christ faith. He is survived by his son, John Paul Blankenship and his wife, Mary of Corinth, Texas; and grandsons, John Ryan Blankenship and his wife, Kasidy of North Richland Hills, Texas and Brandon Paul Blankenship of Coppell, Texas; and numerous other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; son, Gene Edward Blankenship; parents; two sisters and one brother. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2007, at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends for visitation starting at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
