IN LOVING MEMORY

John "David" Howells

Nov 16 1983 - Sep 14 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John “David” Howells, of McKinney, Texas, who passed away peacefully on September 14, 2024, at the age of 40 after battling for 3 months to recover from a tragic motorcycle accident. David was a devoted husband, a loving father, and an exceptional member of his community.

David was born on November 16, 1983, in Ohio. He grew up in Iowa, graduating from Southeast Polk High School in Pleasant Hill with the class of 2002. He went on to attend the University of Northern Iowa, where he earned his degree in business, graduating in 2006.

While still in high school, David met the love of his life, Casie (Warner) Howells. David and Casie were married on May 5, 2006, in Altoona, Iowa. Soon after, the couple moved to Texas, where David embarked on a successful career with JPMorgan Chase  where he was respected for his hard work, dedication, and expertise.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, David was a dedicated family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. David and Casie were married for 18 wonderful years, and they were blessed with 3 children, Caleb, Caelin, and Cobin, who he loved and adored. David enjoyed attending the kids’ sporting events with Casie, playing games with the family, and being outside playing with the kids.

David was known for his love of the outdoors and his adventurous spirit, often spending his free time walking, riding motorcycles, and engaging in various sports. He cherished all memory-making experiences with family and friends and could be counted on to share stories and laughter when gathered together.

David is survived by his wife, Casie Howells of McKinney, Texas; three children, Caleb, Caelin, and Cobin of McKinney, Texas; parents, John Howells, Jr. (Laurie) of Ankeny, Iowa and Christina Adair of Denton, Texas; two sisters, Lisa Roush of Pleasant Hill, Iowa; Leslie Bartram of Florida; and a host of nephews, nieces, and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
