John Wesley "Wes" Clark

John Wesley “Wes” Clark, age 84, of Plano, Texas, passed away November 23, 2010, in Plano, Texas. Wes was born August 17, 1926, in Brinkman, Oklahoma, to John Floyd and Viola (Summerall) Clark. He married Evelyn Warren on October 28, 1946, in Brinkman, Oklahoma. Wes spent over fifty years in various sales and management positions with Beech Aircraft. He was a commercial pilot with over 24,000 hours of flight experience. Wes proudly served in the United States Navy where he received the World War II Victory Medal. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Clark; children, Gary Clark and wife, Teri of Oak Point, Texas and Brenda Bailey Holmes and husband, Don of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Bryan Bailey and wife, Jenni of Rogers, Arkansas, Alicia Strange and husband, Teddy of Memphis, Tennessee, Lauren Clark, Preston Clark, Lucas Clark, and Lydia Clark; great-grandchild, Caden Bailey; and sister, Del Wade of Santa Monica, California. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 28, 2010, at Parkway Hills Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Saturday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. There will be a private family graveside at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ichthus Ministries or Amazon Outreach, 4217 McAlice Dr., Plano, Texas, 75093.
