John Carl Beesley, a resident of McKinney, Texas, departed from this world on April 27, 2024, at the age of 88. Born on August 27, 1935 in Ardmore, Oklahoma, he was the beloved son of Carl Beesley, a rodeo cowboy, and Margaret (Quait) Beesley, a government employee.
John attended Cushing, Oklahoma schools. He received his BA from NSU, Tahlaquah, Oklahoma; Masters from CSU, Edmond, Oklahoma and graduate school from Oklahoma State, and Tulsa University.
John served two years in the U.S. army. He was a teacher, coach, and administrator in several Oklahoma schools. He coached the North Oklahoma All State game in 1967. He founded an insurance agency, Mass Group Marketing in 1980. John was inducted into the Insurance Marketing Hall of Fame in 2005.
He is survived by his wife Candace M. Beesley of McKinney, Texas; children Bambi Kilgore, of Oologah, Oklahoma; Kelly Beesley, McKinney, Texas; Robin Hurley, of Guthrie, Oklahoma; Amber Munger, of McKinney, Texas, and Chad Munger, of Divide, Colorado.
