John Anthony Waupsh of Fairview, Texas passed away on November 22, 2017 at the age of 70. He was born on February 5, 1947 to John Anthony Waupsh, Sr. and Margaret Sabo Waupsh in East Chicago, Indiana. John graduated from Purdue University in 1970 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. He married Debra Van Sessen on May 1, 1971 in Griffith, Indiana. John worked for Vulcan Chemicals from 1973 until 2005, retiring after 32 years. He was a member and usher of St. Jude Catholic Church. John and Debra volunteered at the Allen Food Pantry. He was the current president of the Heritage Ranch HOA.
John is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Debra Waupsh of Fairview, Texas; daughters, Lori Sidler and husband, James, of Plano, Texas; Lisa Towle and husband, Chris, of Wichita, Kansas; son, John Waupsh and wife, Brooke, of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Brooke, Lowen, Henry, Jacob, John IV (Jack); sisters, Barbara Cantrell and husband, Robert, of Schererville, Indiana; Margie Waupsh of East Chicago, Indiana; and nieces, nephew and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, December 4, 2017 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 North Greenville Avenue, Allen, Texas 75002. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Heritage Ranch Clubhouse, 465 Scenic Ranch Circle, Fairview, Texas 75069.
