John Allen Bell of Allen, Texas passed away on December 2, 2022 at the age of 67. He was born on January 4, 1955 to Trigg Alvin Ralph and Shirley (Templeton) Bell in Dallas, Texas. John grew up in Garland and graduated from Garland High School in 1973. He attended Stephen F. Austin University pursuing a degree in horticulture. It was there he met Susan K. Hutson whom he married on August 1, 1981. The family grew with their three children: Tim, Nathan, and Rachel. Not only was John was a hard-working man, he also played an active role in raising all three children. John loved and treasured his family more than anything else. He played trumpet in the Garland Owls marching band and in the Dallas Youth Orchestra. He continued his passion as a consultant for various brass quartet groups and church orchestras. John's strong community spirit was cultivated, and he spent many more years enjoying marching bands and the camaraderie it created. Faith, family, and friends were the cornerstones on which John built his best life.
John is survived by son, Tim Bell of Allen, Texas; son, Nathan Bell and husband, Philip Snelson, of Allen, Texas; daughter, Rachel Andersen and husband, Steven, of Hickory Creek, Texas; granddaughter, Isabelle Andersen.
He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2023 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
