IN LOVING MEMORY

Joelle Marie Condrin

Jul 14 2021 - Jan 04 2024

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of our precious Joelle Marie Condrin, age 2 1/2, of McKinney, Texas. Joelle passed away on the evening of January 4, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Our sweet little girl took her last breath at 5:33 pm, surrounded by her mommy, daddy and big sister who were praying over her when she gave up the spirit and went to be with God. She was welcomed into the arms of her loving Father and savior, Jesus Christ. Her passing was completely peaceful, painless and without strain.

Joelle took her first breath at 9:47 pm on July 14, 2021 and has the unique distinction of being born fully in the amniotic sac which is as rare as just 1 in 80,000 births. Though our princess was small from the get-go, arriving 4 weeks early and weighing just 5 lbs, 10 oz., Joelle was fierce, spunky, and loud. She had a pair of the most beautiful blue eyes you could imagine and a head full of strawberry blonde hair. She had a way of captivating a room with her endearing personality from early on.

Just a handful of months into her life, Joelle developed a tumor under her right eye that was ultimately a type of sarcoma, or soft-tissue-cancer. For two years, Joelle showed incredible resilience during her treatment, learning how to crawl, walk, and talk through it all without ever complaining.

Despite living on Earth for only 2 years, 5 months and 21 days, Joelle inspired countless others with her gorgeous smile, infectious laugh, tenacity to live, willingness to endure, and an endless zeal for all things life had to offer. Some of her favorite things were copying everything her big sissy Daniella would do, being held by her mommy, playing tickle-monster with daddy, going to the neighborhood swimming pool, riding on the golf cart looking at Christmas lights, dancing and singing along to worship songs, riding her scooter, going to any and all church-related events, and hearing her Daddy "toot like thunder" -- her favorite saying.

Joelle made absolutely certain that nobody was going to pick out her clothes for the day other than her. And if there was any pushback, one faced serious consequences. As you can imagine, little Jo ran the show. While she rotated between her favorite stuffies, nothing comforted her quite like her blue blankey. If anyone dared to touch it, she demanded you step back immediately.

Joelle was also a highly spiritual child that was seemingly very advanced in her walk with Christ for a person of her age. Often while at home, she would say, "Mommy, go home" to which her mommy would say "Jo, we are home hunny," and Joelle would say, "Mommy...church." A man had once approached Joelle and her mommy at a local Target when Joelle was just a baby. The man looked at them and asked, "Are you a believer? This baby is so beautiful, and she will bring hope to the nations."

Because of our faith, we fervently prayed and believed that a miraculous healing would occur in Joelle's physical body while she was still here. Joelle herself even loved it when people would lay hands on her and pray over her life. We felt this miracle healing had to be what the man at Target was referring to as the catalyst for bringing hope to the nations.

God's plan always supersedes our plan. Hebrews 11:13 says "These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on Earth." What we've come to realize is that Joelle's testimony of overcoming and enduring for the sake of the Kingdom, and then dying in faith will bring hope to the nations more than any healing ever could.

While we miss her like crazy, we couldn't in good conscience wish for her back. After being in Heaven for almost a week in the presence of the very same Jesus who died on the cross 2,000 years ago, it would be only cruel of us to pull her out of her home. We know that this life is temporary and that life for those who believe is eternal. We long for the day where God calls us home so we can bask in the presence of the Lord our God alongside our sweet Joelle. Until that moment comes, we will do everything we can to win souls along the way, for we know that there is a sweetness dying in Christ that the non-believer can't comprehend. In the end, Joelle ran her race and we are so proud to have been able to witness the strength and beauty that she ran it with. Our love for her will never end, now and in Heaven.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.  Doors open at 1:30 p.m.  Joelle loved colors and fancy clothing, so wear your most happy outfit that a little girl would love.
