IN LOVING MEMORY

Joel Douglas Reynolds

May 09 1990 - May 20 2021

With deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Joel Douglas Reynolds, 31, of McKinney, Texas, on Thursday, May 20, 2021. He was born on May 9, 1990 in Kansas City, Missouri to Douglas Lee and Angela Marguerite (Dye) Reynolds.  Joel moved with his brother and parents to Frisco, Texas in 1996.

Joel was first and foremost about family. He loved his kids, wife, parents, brother, and extended family.

From a young age, Joel's gentle spirit shined through.  He would go out of his way to help an injured bird or move a turtle out of the road. It was clear even butterflies could sense his gentleness by using him as a perch to everyone’s delight.

As he grew, Joel’s interests turned to technology, always exploring, learning, and sharing. Joel was brilliant with anything tech and earned numerous certifications throughout his career. Joel’s insatiable curiosity and desire to understand more led to many lengthy conversations, often leaving one to ponder their own points of view. Joel also never let the chance for a good pun or opportunity to make one smile slip by. His humor was infectious.

Joel was very proud to have been baptized May 16th with his wife, Tyler, and found his faith journey to be a beacon of light. He thoroughly enjoyed the support and camaraderie of the Lighthouse Church family.

His humor, his grace, his kindness, and his love will continue with us. We will miss him each and every day and love him, Always and Forever.

Joel is survived by his loving wife Tyler; sons, Ryker and Reznor; parents, Angela and Andrew Day, and Douglas and Tiffany Reynolds; brother Mitchell Reynolds; grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m.,Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Lighthouse Church in Prosper, Texas. The service will also be live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on Joel's obituary page by clicking on the following link: Celebrationoflife.tv.
