Douglas Joseph “Joe” Rains of Allen, Texas passed away on March 17, 2020 at the age of 81. He was born on January 24, 1939 to Rolly Reese and Fred “Freddie” Beryl (McGehee) Rains in Marthaville, Louisiana.
Joe is survived by his sister, Marilyn Boggs and husband, Leon of Minden, Louisiana; sister-in-law, Diane Rains of Coppell, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews including, Tiffany Bell and husband, Tim of Allen, Texas, Brandon Rains and wife, Christi of Frisco, Texas, Justin Rains of Plano, Texas, and Emily Rains of Plano, Texas; step-nieces, Aimee St. Claire and husband, Shelby of Justin, Texas, Marcie Landrum and husband, John of Atlanta, Texas; numerous great nieces and nephews including, Ethan Bell, Jared Bell, Hannah Bell, Mackenzie Rains, and Alexis Rains; and numerous other loving family and friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Rolly and Freddie Rains; brothers, Jerry Rains, Von Rains, Paul Rains and Roger Rains; sister, Martha Bergeron.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Marthaville at a later date. Interment will be held at Marthaville cemetery.
