Joe Burt Hass went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 19, 2020. He was born at home near Farmersville in Collin County on September 14, 1936. He was the youngest of ten children to James Freddie Hass & Cyntha Campbell Hass.

He married Leaura Crump on July 2, 1960. She preceded him in death on May 26, 1973

He married Rosie Wigington on February 9, 2001.

Joe loved to fish, hunt, camp, play dominos, and just be with his family.  He was a loving husband, father, papa, great-papa, uncle, great-uncle, and brother-in-law who loved his family dearly.   

He is survived by his wife, Rosie Wigington Hass of Farmersville, Texas, daughter, Tammy Monroe & husband James of Farmersville, Honorary daughters, Donna McNair & husband Harold of Farmersville, and Amy Hurst & husband Cris of Merit. Grandchildren; granddaughter, Shelby Dutcher & husband C.J. of Farmersville, grandsons, Clayton Monroe and Colton Monroe of Farmersville, his sister-in-law, Louise Hass, great-grandchildren:  Brooklyn Monroe & Landon Dutcher, Special Nieces and Nephews, Gerald & Jeanette Hass, Thomas & Candy Cook, Randy & Sheila Turner, Judy & Claude Thomas, Randy & Jennifer McNair, Matt & Lyndsey Griffin, Mandi Carpenter and a number of nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, great-nieces and great-nephews who loved him dearly and thought he was top-notch.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife Leaura Crump Hass, parents: James & Cyntha Hass, brothers; Fate Hass, Fred Hass, Etheridge Hass, Maurice Hass, Sisters; Windall Faye Cleere, Oouita McDaniel, Maggie Spruill, Ima Nell Pickle, Georgia Mae Cook, stepchildren, Chris Wigington, Lofland Wigington, Lonzo Wigington, and Gay Nell Wigington, Special friends, J.B. Fisher, Dugan & Claudine Hurst, Wayne & Madeline Bacon.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 12:30P.M. – 1:30P.M. at Higher Trails Cowboy Church at 5544 FM 903 Celeste, Texas 75423. The Funeral service will be the same day at 2:00P.M. with a burial following the service at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville, Texas.
