Joe W. Bradshaw

Joe W. Bradshaw of Anna, Texas passed away February 5, 2022 at the age of 67.  He was born on October 23, 1954 to Hershell Lee Bradshaw and Rachel Oleta (Gray) Bradshaw in McKinney, Texas where he attended McKinney High School.  In high school is where Joe met his wife of nearly 50 years, Shirley Clay.  Right out of high school and even before, Joe was a hardworking man.  He started when he was 13 years of age and continued his whole life.  Joe married his high school sweetheart on March 28, 1972 in Wyle, Texas.  He and Shirley started their family with the birth of their daughter, Heather and the family grew with the birth of their son, Jody in 1973.  Joe was always a proud provider for his family.  Later in life, he provided a workplace for his son and daughter when he started Bradshaw and Son Trash Service.  They were lucky enough to work together every day.  His children, their spouses, and even his grandsons helped to make the company successful and operate smoothly.  Joe loved trash, but he loved even more going to the lake to fish with his family and friends.  His grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in Joe’s heart and adored them deeply.  His family will forever love him and miss the numerous times throughout the year, Joe was called to act along as Santa.  Joe knew many people, and all would consider him a great man and true friend. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Bradshaw; daughter, Heather Hill and husband, Tony; son, Jody Bradshaw and wife, Amy, all of Anna, Texas; grandsons, Justin Blurton of Anna, Texas and Taylor Hill of Sherman, Texas; granddaughters, Shelby Cervantes and husband, James of Leonard, Texas, Krystyna Bradshaw of Allen, Texas and Brittany Moss and husband, Dalton of Anna, Texas; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Rylyn, Waylon, Avery, and Lacie; sister, Janice Hix of Anna, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Halee Bradshaw; sister, Jeana Dhane; and brother, John Bradshaw.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 11, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The service will also be live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on Joe’s obituary page by clicking on the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/joe-w-bradshaw.  After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.  Following the service, a procession will make its way to Elm Grove Cemetery, 13653 CR 480, Anna, Texas 75409.

The family will receive family and friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
