IN LOVING MEMORY

Joe Rogers

Jan 22 1946 - Jan 22 2026

Joe Rogers of McKinney, Texas, passed away on January 22, 2026, at the age of 80.

Joe was born on January 22, 1946, in McKinney, Texas, to William Elmer Rogers and Ruby Una Godwin. A lifelong Texan, Joe built a life rooted in hard work, family, and simple joys. In December of 1964, he married the love of his life, Linda Morris Rogers, in Oklahoma, beginning a devoted marriage that spanned more than six decades.

Joe worked for many years as a barber, a profession that allowed him to connect with people from all walks of life. He was known for his friendly conversation, steady hands, and genuine care for those who sat in his chair. Outside of work, Joe was a devoted football fan—especially of the Dallas Cowboys—and rarely missed a chance to cheer them on. He also found great pleasure in cooking, spending time outdoors, and, most of all, being surrounded by his family.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Rogers of McKinney, Texas; his sons, Donald Rogers of McKinney, Texas, and Darrin Rogers of Shady Point, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Britni Linnebur (Drew) of Princeton, Texas, and Jake Rogers of Denton, Texas. He is also survived by a host of numerous other loving family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Jayson Rogers; and his sisters, Delores Jeffcoat, Katherine Jenkins, and Linda Wyatt.

Joe will be remembered for his warm heart, strong work ethic, love of family, and the steady presence he brought to the lives of those who knew him. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
